We're heading to the lake for an afternoon of friends, food, and a mini music festival. This is noy a ticketed event, it's a private party, but friends, PBJ supporters, and neighbors can come, and it is family-friendly
This year's lineup features two internationally acclaimed artists:
Dawn Tyler Watson of Montreal, Quebec, winner of the JUNO Award for Blues Album of the Year, International Blues Challenge Best Band, and Blues Blast Female Artist of the Year, performing with the outstanding Ben Racine Band.
JP Soars & The Red Hots from Florida, winner of the International Blues Challenge and an Albert King Award-winning guitarist. JP Soars, one of today's most electrifying blues performers and known for his gypsy jazz and cigar box perfromance.
The party begins at 2:00 PM, with live music starting at 3:00 PM. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, your bathing suit and water shoes, and enjoy one of the most beautiful lakefront settings in the region.
We'll be serving beef brisket, pulled pork, and Island Vybe's famous jerk chicken, and you're welcome to bring a dish, salad, dessert, or beverages to share. The music won't stop, a favorite local band will keep the party going, and as always, a late-night jam session will manifest.
This event is rain or shine and is a collaboration between Plattsburgh Blues & Jazz and John Homer. Parking is available along Sunnyside Road. A suggested donation of $20 cash per person helps support the live music. Children are admitted free.
Spread the word and invite your friends. What started as a backyard gathering has grown into one of the most anticipated summertime music parties in the North Country.
See you by the lake! the music finally stops.
