Plattsburgh Blues and Jazz is so thrilled to bring up from Houston Texas, the award winning The Keeshea Pratt Band on Tuesday July 16th at Olive Ridleys with special guests The Lake Champlain Mass Choir as well as multi Grammy nominated legend Maria Muldaur! The Keeshea Pratt Band are the 2018 Winners of the International Blues Challenge for Best Band and are bringing their high energy style of blues, funk and Motown stirred with some southern soul and a whole lot of dancing energy. Because Blues and Gospel are born from the same cradle, we are having the local Lake Champlain Mass Choir to open up the show and bring the energy higher! The legendary and multi-Grammy nominated Maria Muldaur is in town and will also perform a few songs with her band! This is going to be an epic blues/gospel and soul party and concert.
The Albert Castiglia Band
SATURDAY, AUGUST 3rd
We are going to have another worldclass blues party with the Albert Castiglia Band at Olive Ridleys on Saturday August 3rd at 8PM. . He has been described as the blues king heir apparent to BB King himself. Albert earned his blues cred as a member of Junior Wells' band and became his lead guitar player until Well's death. Since then he has embarked on a solo career that’s yielded eight critically acclaimed albums and his live performances have dazzled audiences from coast to coast. He has just released his latest album "Masterpiece" with musician/producer Mike Zito who says “Albert Castiglia is pure emotion. He wears his heart on his sleeve and lets his guitar do the talking” This is a show to experience live!
JP Soars and The Redhots and The Paul Deslauriers Band

PB&J is so excited to bring together TWO of the absolute best blues rock guitar heavyweights bands on each side of the border! JP Soars and the Red Hots as well as The Paul DesLauriers band in one place at Retro Live on Thursday night August 15th at 730 pm.
JP Soars is soaring high after he burst on the national scene by winning 1st place in the 2009 International Blues Challenge and the prestigious Albert King Award as best guitarist. Nominated for “Blues Rock Artist of the Year”at this years Blues Music Awards. He is a guitarist with many influences from heavy metal to nuances of Django Reinhardt-inspired "Gypsy jazz" , to his searing hollow body electric slide and his legendary home-made 2 string cigar box guitar.. He is backed by one of the tightest bands on the scene, the Red Hots. Check out this video
The Paul DesLauriers Band is Canada's and the world's premiere blues/rock band. Led by elite guitarist and singer Paul DesLauriers and winner of the Electric Act of the Year and two-time Entertainer of the Year at Maple Blues Awards. They also took second place at the International Blues Challenge in 2016. Check out this video of the PDB!
Both of these artists have collaborated together with songs on each of their new albums, so expect this show to be an extremely unique opportunity to see not only each of these powerhouse bands individually but also see them play and jam together on one stage!

Plattsburgh Blues & Jazz is excited to present one of the hottest bands, Southern Avenue, at Olive Ridley’s on Friday August 30th! This boundary-breaking Memphis combo sparked a one-band musical revolution with their organic soul/blues/R&B fusion.They put on a powerful and electrifying live show that has been compared to early Tina Turner with in a fresh and new style that is turning the scene on its head. Since the release of their debut, Southern Avenue has played in over a dozen countries and wowed audiences at such festivals as Bonnaroo, Firefly, Electric Forest and Lockn’. They’re hailed by both the Blues Music Awards and Blues Blast as the Best Emerging Artist of today.
