Plattsburgh Blues and Jazz is proud to present the Blackburn Brothers for a night of Soul Funk and Blues on Friday, October 3rd, 2025.  From Toronto, one of Canada's most celebrated live bands. At the core are three brothers, descendants of freedom seekers through the Underground Railroad, whose music carries a powerful message of history, freedom, family, unity, and love, all wrapped with a tight funky groove and a horn section that will keep you dancing. With their latest album SoulFunknBlues, the Blackburn Brothers have taken the world stage by storm. 2024 Blues Blast Award winner for Soul Blues Album of the Year, 2x JUNO nomination for Blues Album of the Year, three American Blues Music Award nominations for Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Soul Blues Album of the Year, Nine Maple Blues nominations including Entertainer and Electric Act of the Year and in 2025 Living Blues nomination for Band of the Year. 

We'll turn Retro Live into a real music/concert club with high-topped tables and chairs, a large stage, a dance floor, and a wrap-around balcony with plenty of room to move and see friends. Tickets are $20 in advance, either online or in person at Alpha Stereo, LakeShore Candy or $25 at the door.
